Yoo In Na’s past comments about IU’s dating habits are receiving renewed attention following news that IU and Lee Jong Suk have ended their relationship.
In April, IU appeared on Yoo In Na’s YouTube channel “Yoo In Radio,” where the two longtime friends discussed relationships during a lighthearted balance game.
IU was asked to choose between a partner who had no plans and simply followed her decisions, or a highly organized partner who expected everything to follow a fixed schedule. IU chose the more organized partner.
She explained, “I think dating someone with no thoughts or plans would drain my energy. I am good at adjusting to someone else’s schedule.”
Yoo In Na jokingly responded, “Do not make me laugh,” before sharing a more serious observation about her friend.
She said, “IU follows everything her partner asks her to do. It is at a dangerous level. When she is exhausted, she should say she is exhausted. Instead, she completes her entire schedule, becomes sick, and ends up going to the hospital.”
Yoo In Na added that IU should consider choosing a more relaxed partner instead, and IU agreed with her advice at the time.
The comments have resurfaced after representatives for IU and Lee Jong Suk confirmed on July 10 that the couple had recently separated.
Both sides stated, “It is true that they recently broke up. The two have decided to remain good colleagues.”
IU and Lee Jong Suk publicly confirmed their relationship on December 31, 2022. No further details about the reason for their breakup have been officially shared.
