So Ji Sub’s SBS drama “Agent Kim Reactivated” continues its impressive ratings run after reaching another major milestone.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 6 recorded an average nationwide rating of 22.3 percent. This became the drama’s highest rating so far.

With this result, “Agent Kim Reactivated” moved into second place among the highest rated SBS Friday-Saturday dramas of all time.

The drama surpassed “The Fiery Priest”, which peaked at 22.0 percent, and “Taxi Driver 2”, which reached 21.0 percent.

However, “The Penthouse 2” still holds the No. 1 position with a peak rating of 29.2 percent.

Attention is now focused on whether So Ji Sub’s drama can continue rising and challenge the long standing record held by “The Penthouse 2”.

“Agent Kim Reactivated” began with a nationwide rating of 9.5 percent and crossed the 20 percent mark after only four episodes, showing one of the strongest recent rises among SBS weekend dramas.

The series follows Agent Kim, played by So Ji Sub, as he becomes involved in a dangerous mission connected to his daughter. Its fast paced story has helped the drama set a new personal ratings record with nearly every episode.

While “Sandglass” remains the highest rated SBS drama overall with 64.5 percent in 1995, its result is difficult to compare directly with current programs because television viewing habits and the media environment have changed greatly.

For now, “Agent Kim Reactivated” is closing in on the top position in SBS Friday-Saturday drama history.
