Gong Yoo made the cast laugh with his unexpected reaction to a 20 year old fan who said she wanted to marry him.

During the final episode of tvN’s “Goblin 10th Anniversary Trip”, which aired on July 12, Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, and Yoo In Na read messages and personal stories sent by fans of the popular drama.

One fan revealed that she had watched “Goblin” about 40 times from middle school through high school.

She shared that the drama had been a major part of her school years and that she once imagined the Goblin appearing with a bouquet of buckwheat flowers when she became a high school senior.

The fan explained that she is now a first year university student studying in the department she had hoped to enter.

She then sent Gong Yoo a playful confession inspired by Kim Go Eun’s character Eun Tak, saying, “Mister, I love you. I will marry you.”

When Yoo In Na asked Gong Yoo how he would respond, he jokingly said, “Wow. Tell her to come.”

However, he soon realized the fan’s age and quickly asked, “Wait, isn’t she young enough to be my daughter?”

Yoo In Na continued the joke by referring to Gong Yoo’s character in “Goblin,” saying, “You are 949 years old anyway. Does age really matter?”

Gong Yoo then gave a more careful answer. “Age is only a number, but she still has such a bright future ahead of her that I feel a little sorry,” he said. “I think the distance we have now is good.”

Yoo In Na teased him by replying, “She probably just said it casually too. Do you really think she was serious?”

Kim Go Eun also joined the playful conversation by acting jealous. She said, “I am sorry, but the Goblin’s bride is still alive. That would be difficult because I am still here.”

The lighthearted exchange brought laughter as the cast continued celebrating the drama’s 10th anniversary with longtime fans.
