So Ji Sub is enjoying renewed attention as the strong success of SBS’s “Agent Kim Reactivated” brings his older projects back into the rankings.

The Friday Saturday drama premiered on June 26 with a nationwide rating of 9.5%. It quickly passed the 20% mark after only four episodes, showing rapid growth in viewer interest.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 5, which aired on July 10, recorded 20.5% nationwide and 21% in the Seoul metropolitan area. The episode also reached a peak rating of 23.1%.

“Agent Kim Reactivated” is also performing well internationally through Netflix. The series reportedly ranked No. 1 globally in the platform’s non English TV category, reached the top spot in 11 countries, and entered the Top 10 in 79 countries.

The drama follows an ordinary father who is forced to use his dangerous past and abilities to save his only daughter. The series combines action, comedy, and noir elements.

As interest in So Ji Sub continues to grow, his previous works are also moving up the Netflix rankings in South Korea. His Netflix action series “Mercy for None”, which was released last year, climbed to No. 6.

His 2012 film “A Company Man” also entered the chart at No. 9, nearly 14 years after its original release.

“A Company Man” follows Ji Hyeong Do, an employee at a company that appears to be an ordinary metal manufacturer but secretly operates as an organization of hired agents. His life changes after he begins dreaming of leaving the company and living normally.

The renewed success of both titles shows how “Agent Kim Reactivated” is introducing more viewers to So Ji Sub’s earlier action projects.
