BIGBANG’s Daesung and 2NE1’s Sandara Park brought laughter with their honest and playful talk about dating inside entertainment agencies.
On July 3, Se7en, Sandara Park, and Minzy appeared on Daesung’s YouTube show “Zip Daesung”, where the former YG Entertainment artists looked back on their memories together.
While talking about their past days at YG, Daesung said, “Back then, we all spent time together and had chemistry while going through everything.”
Se7en then asked if anyone had ever had a “some” or romantic interest within the company. Daesung turned to Sandara Park and asked, “Noona, was there anyone for you? Be honest”.
Sandara Park immediately answered, “No.” She then pointed to a YG Family photo and joked, “Who was there? Here?” making the group laugh.
She then pointed toward a group photo of SM Entertainment and said, “But if you go this way,” suggesting that SM had more possible options.
Daesung agreed and said, “There are so many people there. It is paradise.” Se7en also added, “From what I saw, that place was heaven for flirting”.
Daesung shared that he had heard some companies preferred artists to date within the agency if they were going to date, because it would be easier to manage. However, Sandara Park replied, “You need to have someone to date first”.
Minzy also denied any dating inside the company, saying, “There was really no one. None at all”.
Daesung wrapped up the conversation with a joke, saying that this may be why YG artists were known for their talent, because they had no time to look elsewhere.
