Hwang Jung Min is drawing major attention for his surprising visual transformation.
Recently, Elle Korea released an interview video featuring Hwang Jung Min, Jo In Sung, and Jung Ho Yeon, the main cast of the upcoming film “Hope.” In the video, many viewers noticed Hwang Jung Min’s younger and sharper appearance.
The actor, who was once known for his reddish complexion, appeared with a much clearer skin tone. His slimmer face and more defined features also gained attention, leading many fans to praise his self management.

His transformation is believed to be connected to his decision to quit smoking and drinking. Hwang Jung Min previously shared on several variety shows that he decided to stop one habit as a gift to himself when he turned 50.
He said, “When I turned 50, I thought about what gift I should give myself, and decided to quit either drinking or smoking. I quit smoking first, but then I drank more. My memory got worse and I made more small mistakes, so I also quit drinking.”
After quitting alcohol, he also joked, “I realized, ‘I can become fair skinned too.’ I was surprised too.”
Hwang Jung Min has also spoken honestly about his famous red face in the past. He once shared, “Back when breath alcohol tests were done with paper cups, I got stopped just because my face was red. There was no smell of alcohol from the cup, but because my face was so red, they told me to get out of the car no matter what.”
Netizens reacted strongly to his new look, leaving comments such as, “He suddenly looks about 10 years younger,” “His self care is really amazing,” and “His red drinking tone is completely gone.”
Some also brought up his famous past photos with Jo Seung Woo and Ji Jin Hee, making the contrast even more noticeable.
Meanwhile, Hwang Jung Min will meet viewers through the film “Hope,” which is scheduled to be released on July 15.
