SBS’s upcoming Friday Saturday drama “Flex x Cop 2” has released its first teaser, raising excitement for a bigger and more action packed season.
“Flex x Cop 2” follows Jin Yi Soo, a third generation chaebol detective who uses his money and connections to solve cases, and veteran detective Joo Hye Ra as they team up to take down more dangerous criminals.
The teaser begins with Jin Yi Soo, played by Ahn Bo Hyun, confidently saying, “Shall we start now?” He is then seen traveling overseas on a private jet with Violent Crimes Team 1 members Park Jun Young and Choi Kyung Jin, showing that the new season will have a larger scale.
The video also highlights Jin Yi Soo’s flashy style as a chaebol detective. He appears in a tuxedo at a party, uses a helicopter after saying, “I need to use a helicopter. We have to catch a serial killer,” and gets involved in a car chase in the city.
The team also faces a major change with the arrival of new team leader Joo Hye Ra, played by Jung Eun Chae. She was once a strict police academy instructor who made Jin Yi Soo nervous.
In the teaser, she makes a strong entrance on a motorcycle and shows bold action and charisma.
Their new dynamic also adds humor and tension. When Jin Yi Soo says, “This is a nightmare,” Joo Hye Ra responds, “It is reality.”
The teaser also hints at bigger threats, including bomb attacks, fires, and a mysterious warning that says, “Inspector Jin, now let’s start the game.”
Yoo Seung Ho also makes his first appearance as Yoo Sung Won, a new chaebol character.
Although his appearance in the teaser is brief, he leaves a strong impression and raises curiosity about his role in the story.
“Flex x Cop 2” will premiere on August 7 at 9:50 PM KST.
