Netflix’s new Korean suspense drama “Notes from the Last Row” is off to a strong global start.
The series ranked No. 8 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non English Shows chart just 3 days after its release, showing fast interest from viewers around the world.
“Notes from the Last Row” gained attention even before its release because it brings together veteran actor Choi Min Sik and rising star Choi Hyun Wook.
The drama follows Heo Moon Oh, a failed writer and Korean literature professor, who discovers the talent of Lee Kang, a student sitting in the last row of his class.
The series is receiving positive reactions for its tense story and strong performances. Some viewers praised it as “suspense you cannot stop watching,” while others called Choi Min Sik and Choi Hyun Wook’s acting “amazing”.
The drama’s strong debut comes as Korean content continues to perform well on Netflix’s global rankings. “Teach You a Lesson” stayed No. 1 on the Global Top 10 Non English Shows chart for 4 weeks in a row and entered the Top 10 in 75 countries.
Other Korean titles also ranked high, including “Agent Kim Reactivated” at No. 3 and “My Royal Nemesis” at No. 7 on the Global Top 10 Non English Shows chart.
With “Notes from the Last Row” entering the global chart so quickly, the suspense drama is becoming one of the latest Korean series to watch on Netflix.
