NCT’s Johnny shared the funny story behind his viral photo with actor Byeon Woo Seok.
On episode 146 of TEO’s web variety show “Salon Drip,” released on June 30, Johnny appeared as a guest with DAWN and talked about his friendship with Byeon Woo Seok.
Host Jang Do Yeon asked about articles that jokingly made their relationship sound like a dating rumor, saying, “What was the article that came out like a dating rumor with Byeon Woo Seok? It said you are supporting each other?”
Johnny said he was also surprised when he saw the article and explained how they became close. He shared, “We go to the same place to work out.”
He then recalled meeting Byeon Woo Seok overseas at the AAA awards ceremony. Johnny said, “We happened to meet overseas. We met at the AAA awards ceremony, and I was happy to see him, so I said, ‘Hyung, let’s take a photo together.’”
Jang Do Yeon jokingly asked if Johnny carried him “like lifting weights,” and Johnny explained that the idea came from Byeon Woo Seok’s drama “Lovely Runner,” whose Korean title means “Carry Sun Jae and Run.”
Johnny added, “Hyung’s height is amazing. I thought it would be funny, so I carried him for content.”
Jang Do Yeon praised his quick sense and said, “So that is why you carried him? You are a content monster.” Johnny made everyone laugh by confidently replying, “I have to make an effort.”
The lighthearted story showed Johnny’s playful personality and his friendly connection with Byeon Woo Seok.
