BTS member SUGA has become the center of attention after a report claimed he may have been an early investor in SpaceX.
On June 29, Edaily reported that SUGA invested in SpaceX before the company was publicly listed through Link Asset Partners, also known as Link Asset Management. The company was described in the report as the first Korean institution to invest in SpaceX.
According to the report, SUGA made the investment before 2022. The exact amount and timing of the investment were not revealed.
However, the report claimed that if he invested around 2020, the return could now be around 40 times higher. Even with a more cautious estimate, the return was said to be around 20 times.
The report also mentioned SpaceX’s rising company value, stating that it was valued at about 46 billion USD in 2020 and later rose to around 100 billion USD in 2021.
As the rumor spread, SUGA’s agency BigHit Music responded carefully and did not confirm the report. The agency stated, “It is difficult to confirm matters related to the artist’s personal life”.
Since there has been no official confirmation from SUGA or his agency, the investment report remains unverified.
