Sandara Park opened up about her long career, her reason for rarely resting, and a behind the scenes story from before 2NE1’s debut.
On June 27, Sandara Park appeared on the YouTube channel “Jo Hyun Ah’s Ordinary Thursday Night,” where she talked about working for more than 2 decades, including her activities in the Philippines.
Sandara Park shared, “If I include my activities in the Philippines, it has been 22 years since my debut. I have never rested until now.” She added, “I feel anxious when I rest.”

She also revealed how busy her schedule used to be, saying, “When I had many schedules, I did 4 shows a week. I really worked while having nosebleeds.”
Sandara Park also talked about trying a new style of music. She explained, “This time, I tried band music,” adding that although she was a YG trainee, her voice and style actually fit rock influenced vocals well.
The singer also spoke honestly about her solo career. She said, “I still do not think my position as a solo singer is strong yet,” but added that performing alone has made her very happy. She also shared that she enjoys singing 2NE1 songs in her own way, saying fans respond warmly to them.
Sandara Park then looked back on the time before 2NE1 officially formed. She said she often heard that she “did not match YG’s color” and could not practice with the other members at first.
She recalled one moment when CL heard her practicing with a song and asked, “Is this Jennifer Lopez?” Sandara Park said she told CL it was her own voice, and CL encouraged her to use it for a monthly evaluation.
Sandara Park added, “The members helped me a lot, and CL even did a rap featuring. Because of that, the 4 of us were able to practice together.”
The story is gaining attention as fans look back on Sandara Park’s long career, her dedication, and the teamwork that helped bring 2NE1 together.
