ENA’s Monday Tuesday drama “Doctor on the Edge” has returned to its starting point in ratings after passing its halfway mark.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 7 of “Doctor on the Edge,” which aired on June 22, recorded 4% nationwide among paid households. This is a 1.1 percentage point drop from the previous episode and marks the drama’s lowest rating so far.
The number is also the same as the drama’s first episode rating, which had set the record as the highest premiere rating for an ENA Monday Tuesday drama at the time.

In the episode, Yuk Ha Ri, played by Shin Ye Eun, struggled to accept the difficult choice made by her grandmother Oh Mi Ja, played by Gil Hae Yeon. While Do Ji Ui, played by Lee Jae Wook, tried to understand Oh Mi Ja’s decision from a doctor’s point of view, Yuk Ha Ri felt deeply hurt as her granddaughter.
During a rainy emergency on Pyeondong Island, Yuk Ha Ri became emotional after seeing Do Ji Ui care for a patient even after death.
She told him, “You are a doctor who even stitches up a patient who has already passed away. But why do you not take care of my heart?”

Do Ji Ui later encouraged Yuk Ha Ri to face her grandmother’s true feelings, saying, “You need to give your grandmother a chance to tell the person she loves most that she is scared. Please stay by her side.”
However, Yuk Ha Ri was met with heartbreaking news, and episode 7 ended with her crying in grief.
Episode 8 of “Doctor on the Edge” airs at 10 PM on ENA and is also available through KT Genie TV and Disney Plus.
