BTS’s Jungkook is once again showing his strong global influence with just one social media update.
On June 20, Jungkook changed the profile picture on his personal Instagram account to David and Lucy, the main characters from the animation “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”. The small update quickly became a hot topic among fans around the world.
Soon after, Netflix Brazil’s official X account also joined the buzz. The account changed its header image to a scene from “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”, showing David and Lucy sitting together.
Netflix Brazil also updated its bio to “Jungkook Assistam Cyberpunk: Mercenários”, which means “Jungkook, watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”.

This is not the first time Netflix reacted to Jungkook’s interest in one of its titles. During a past live broadcast, Jungkook watched “KPop Demon Hunters” and said, “I cried while watching KPop Demon Hunters”.
He also shared, “I’m going to make my own Honmoon,” while getting emotional during key scenes from the animation.
After that, Netflix used a screenshot of Jungkook crying as its X header image and wrote, “Jungkook watched KPop Demon Hunters,” showing how quickly brands respond to his reactions.
Jungkook has shown this kind of influence before. In 2022, after he jokingly called Chipotle “Chicotle,” the famous food chain changed its X profile name to “Chicotle.”
With Netflix Brazil now reacting to his “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” profile picture, fans are once again talking about the power of the “Jungkook effect”.
