Nam Gyu Ri surprised viewers after revealing that SeeYa never received copyright royalties from their past songs.
On June 16, SeeYa members Nam Gyu Ri, Lee Bo Ram, and Kim Yeon Ji appeared on the YouTube content “Desperate Mouth” from the channel “Studio Suze.”
After performing at a university festival, the members sat down for a meal and talked about their music career.

During the conversation, Kim Ji Yu asked which SeeYa song earned the most in copyright royalties.
Nam Gyu Ri shocked everyone by answering, “We do not have copyright royalties. We have never received them.”
When asked why, Nam Gyu Ri explained that it was because of the contract structure at the time, saying, “It was not set up that way.”

Lee Bo Ram added, “The contract itself did not have a digital music contract like it does these days.”
Nam Gyu Ri then shared, “Even if people listened to our songs a lot, it was not a structure where that money came to us.”
Meanwhile, SeeYa recently reunited after 15 years and released their new song “Nevertheless, We” on March 30.
The song reached No. 1 on music charts, showing that the group’s popularity remains strong even after many years.
