ENA’s Monday Tuesday drama “Doctor on the Edge” is continuing its strong rise in ratings.

Episode 4, which aired on June 9, recorded a nationwide rating of 5.2 percent and reached a peak of 6.3 percent per minute.

This marks the drama’s highest rating so far. The series also stayed No. 1 among all channels in its time slot for the second week in a row, according to Nielsen Korea based on paid households.

In the latest episode, Do Ji Ui, played by Lee Jae Wook, and Yuk Ha Ri, played by Shin Ye Eun, became closer as they shared personal pain and comfort. When Yuk Ha Ri opened up about being scared of her grandmother’s illness, Do Ji Ui quietly comforted her by saying, “It is not cowardly. Everyone is like that.”

However, their relationship became complicated after rumors spread on Pyeondong Island. A romantic rumor involving Yuk Ha Ri and Hyun Chi Yeon caused Do Ji Ui to act differently, leading Yuk Ha Ri to feel hurt.

She later told him, “Were you avoiding me because you were scared? Because you thought I might bite you? Do not be afraid. I have no plan to bite.”

The episode also showed Do Ji Ui slowly revealing his feelings. After apologizing for his mistake, he said, “Why do you not bite me? I am also a doctor,” creating a tense and emotional moment between the two.

Near the end, the drama shifted into an emergency situation when a patient needed urgent treatment while the island was trapped under a storm warning. Do Ji Ui, who has trauma related to the sea, struggled at first but was able to continue the treatment with Yuk Ha Ri’s support and successfully stabilized the patient.

However, the episode ended with a shocking cliffhanger. After the emergency, Do Ji Ui suddenly fell into the deep sea while Yuk Ha Ri witnessed the accident, leaving viewers curious about what will happen next.

Doctor on the Edge” is based on the KakaoPage webtoon “Johnber Doctor” and airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM on ENA. It is also available on KT Genie TV and Disney Plus.
