
Actor Jang Yo Hoon is drawing attention after viewers found out he played a 14 year old character in “Teach You a Lesson” despite being in his 30s.
On June 6, Jang Yo Hoon shared photos from the Netflix original series on his social media and wrote, “I entered college as part of the class of 2011, but I ended up playing a character born in 2011.”
In the photos, Jang Yo Hoon is seen wearing a school uniform with his fellow cast members. He showed both the rough image of his character and a bright smile off camera.



Born in 1993, Jang Yo Hoon is currently 34 years old. In “Teach You a Lesson,” he plays Min Ji Woong, a 14 year old juvenile offender involved in youth crime and drug distribution issues. Speaking about the role, he said, “I feel like I did all the bad things I could do in life at once. I will live kindly from now on.”
Many netizens were surprised by his age and acting, leaving comments such as, “I never imagined the actor who played a 14 year old boy was in his 30s,” “His acting is amazing,” and “He looks unbelievably young.”
“Teach You a Lesson” is based on the popular webtoon of the same name and follows the Teacher Rights Protection Bureau, an organization created to protect teachers’ rights and schools. The drama also stars Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Sung Min, Jin Ki Joo, P.O, and others.
