Kim Soo Hyun has once again proved his strong popularity.
The actor took first place in the male actor category of the 167th Star Ranking vote, which was held from May 28 at 3:01 PM to June 4 at 3:00 PM. He received 34,322 votes and kept his No. 1 position for 56 weeks in a row.
In the same vote, Lee Junho ranked second, while Byeon Woo Seok placed third.
Kim Soo Hyun’s continued No. 1 ranking is drawing attention as many fans are also watching whether he will be able to make a return to activities.
Earlier, his agency Gold Medalist released a statement regarding the legal cases filed against Kim Se Ui of Garo Sero Research Institute. The agency said the investigation found that “the various suspicions and evidence” raised against Kim Soo Hyun were “not true.”
Gold Medalist also stated that the KakaoTalk messages of the deceased, which were revealed during a press conference, were confirmed to have been “forged and altered” from conversations with another person unrelated to Kim Soo Hyun.
The agency added that the deceased person’s voice was also confirmed to be “fabricated material created using AI technology.”
The agency further explained that the court issued an arrest warrant for Kim Se Ui after recognizing the seriousness of the case and several alleged charges, including defamation by spreading false information, stalking related violations, sexual crime related violations involving filmed materials, and threats.
Gold Medalist said, “We deeply thank the investigative authorities for their efforts in revealing the truth based on objective evidence.”
Star Ranking is a fan voting system where fans vote directly for their favorite stars. Stars who rank No. 1 for four weeks in a row can receive an outdoor billboard advertisement.
Starting from the June voting, the results will also be counted for selecting winners in the AAA 2026 Star Ranking category.
With his 56 week winning streak, Kim Soo Hyun continues to show strong fan support while attention grows over his possible comeback.
