BTS member V is gaining attention after revealing his impressive League of Legends rank.
The singer, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently shared a video on his Instagram Story showing that he reached Diamond 2 tier on the Korean server of League of Legends. Along with the clip, he wrote, “Anyone want to play as a five person team?”
The update quickly spread among both fans and gaming communities. V had previously reached Diamond 4 in 2023, meaning he has moved up two more levels in around two years.
League of Legends ranks go from Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, to Challenger.
Diamond and above is known to be a high level rank, with only a small percentage of players reaching that tier. The Korean server is also known as one of the toughest and most competitive servers in the world.
Many gamers praised V’s achievement. Inven Global reportedly said, “Diamond 2 on the Korean server is definitely a skilled player.”
Gen.G Esports CEO Arnold Hur also reacted on X, saying it was surprising that an idol in his 30s reached that rank while handling a world tour schedule.
Another user, @ProjectAsheNA, defended the achievement and said, “Diamond and above is objectively good. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.”
However, some gamers had mixed reactions and tried to call Diamond 2 a “mid tier” rank. Others joked about fans being impressed by the ranking, which led to more debate online.
Fans also reacted warmly to V’s post. One fan wrote, “Gamers are praising Taehyung’s gaming skills, and baseball fans are praising his pitching skills. Taehyung is really loved.”
Another fan said they could not believe he reached the rank while doing a world tour and working as a FIFA World Cup Coca Cola model.
Some fans also joked that ARMYs now need to reach Diamond if they want to play League of Legends with him.
Meanwhile, Jin previously praised V’s gaming skills in an interview with GQ Korea, saying, “V is the best at games among the BTS members. Even if he does not play a lot, he understands games quickly.”
V’s Diamond 2 reveal has now become another reason fans are praising his talent, focus, and surprising gaming skills.
