Red Velvet’s Joy is returning to acting under her real name, Park Soo Young, in the upcoming drama “One-Of-A-Kind Romance”.
The new drama, produced by Corpus Korea, is scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2026 through Viu and Japan’s ABEMA.
Based on the popular Naver webtoon by Dubu, “One-Of-A-Kind Romance” tells the story of Gong Yu Il, an ordinary job seeker who unexpectedly becomes the manager of top star Tak Mu Yi.
Park Soo Young will play Gong Yu Il, a young woman looking for a job and dreaming of an ordinary life. Kim Hyun Jin will play Tak Mu Yi, a famous star who hides emotional pain caused by stalking.
The drama will follow their mutual support and growing romance as they become important to each other.
The newly released teaser poster shows Park Soo Young and Kim Hyun Jin smiling brightly together. The two are seen sitting closely on a sofa while reading a book, creating a fresh and sweet youth romance mood.
The phrase “mutual fan romance between a top star and a job seeker” also raises curiosity about their relationship.
The production team said the drama will show Gong Yu Il and Tak Mu Yi healing each other’s wounds while growing closer.
They shared, “Through the process of Gong Yu Il and Tak Mu Yi comforting each other’s painful wounds and growing their love, we plan to give tired modern people both warm comfort and excitement.”
They added, “Please look forward to ‘One-Of-A-Kind Romance,’ which will make love bloom in everyone’s hearts this second half of the year with lovely characters and a charming story.”
“One-Of-A-Kind Romance” is expected to deliver a light, warm, and sweet romance about two people who meet by chance and find comfort through each other.
