Park Ji Hyun shared deep admiration for Kim Go Eun during her appearance on tvN’s You Quiz on the Block.
On the May 27 episode, Park Ji Hyun talked about working with Kim Go Eun in Eun Jung and Sang Yeon. She had previously praised Kim Go Eun by saying, “Kim Go Eun’s existence alone is a blessing to the world’s culture and arts industry.”
When asked to explain the comment, Park Ji Hyun said she has already expressed her admiration for Kim Go Eun in many interviews. She shared that she first saw Kim Go Eun through Yumi’s Cells and thought of her as a senior actress she could not easily approach.
Park Ji Hyun said, “After working with her, I felt that the energy she has on set makes everyone able to breathe.” She added that anything Kim Go Eun touches feels like it “turns into gold,” describing her as someone who gives strength to a project.
She also shared a touching behind the scenes moment from one of their final filming days. Park Ji Hyun said the scene was emotional, and Kim Go Eun suddenly added lines that were not in the script.
According to Park Ji Hyun, Kim Go Eun said, “Sang Yeon, I love you,” and “Sang Yeon, breathe.” Park Ji Hyun explained that she had to stay still for the scene, but hearing those words made her cry.
She recalled, “I wanted to say, ‘I love you too,’ but the words would not come out,” showing how strongly Kim Go Eun’s acting affected her during filming.
