On May 27, Hyolyn’s agency ReH released an official statement announcing that the singer will no longer be able to perform at the Fubon Guardians G! POP Music Festival, which is scheduled to take place in Taipei on May 30.
The agency stated, “Artist Hyolyn was scheduled to appear at the Fubon Guardians G! POP Music Festival, but due to unavoidable reasons, she will not be able to attend.”
ReH explained that Hyolyn was recently taken to the hospital because of a sudden emergency situation.
The agency said that, based on the medical team’s opinion, hospital treatment and rest must be her top priority at this time.
The agency added, “After considering the artist’s health condition and safety overall, we decided that she will not be able to attend this event.”
ReH also apologized to fans and event staff for the sudden news, saying, “We sincerely apologize for causing concern to the Taiwanese fans who have waited for this performance for a long time, as well as the Fubon Guardians team and all related staff who worked hard to prepare the event.”
According to the agency, Hyolyn had been looking forward to meeting fans at the event and feels very sorry that she cannot attend. She will now focus on treatment in order to recover as soon as possible.
ReH concluded that Hyolyn’s health recovery will be the top priority and promised to support her so she can return to fans in good condition.
