Kim Soo Hyun’s agency has released a strong statement after Kim Se Ui, the head of Garosero Research Institute, was arrested over allegations linked to the actor.
On May 27, Gold Medalist shared its official position and said the investigation found that the accusations and evidence raised against Kim Soo Hyun by Garosero Research Institute were not true.
The agency stated, “Regarding the several complaints and accusations filed by Kim Soo Hyun and our company against Kim Se Ui of Garosero Research Institute, the investigation found that the various allegations and evidence raised against Kim Soo Hyun were false”.
Gold Medalist also said that the KakaoTalk messages shown at a previous press conference were allegedly altered and fabricated from a conversation with another person who had no connection to Kim Soo Hyun. The agency further claimed that the voice of the late Kim Sae Ron was confirmed to be fabricated using AI technology.
The agency continued, “The court issued an arrest warrant for Kim Se Ui after recognizing the seriousness of the case and the charges, including defamation by spreading false information, stalking related charges, violations of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, threats, and other charges”.
Gold Medalist thanked the investigators, saying, “We sincerely thank the investigative authorities for revealing the truth based on objective evidence”.
The agency also recalled Kim Soo Hyun’s words from his press conference one year ago, where he said, “I will not ask you to believe me. I will make sure to prove it”.
Gold Medalist said the past year was spent trying to keep that promise, adding that the truth has finally been shown through legal procedures and a thorough investigation.
The statement ended with the message, “We deeply thank everyone who believed in Kim Soo Hyun and waited for him”.
Kim Se Ui was arrested on May 26 after a court reviewed the warrant request. The court reportedly approved the warrant due to concerns that he could destroy evidence or flee.
However, after the warrant review, Kim Se Ui denied the allegations and said, “I do not admit to any of the charges”.
Kim Se Ui is accused of spreading claims that Kim Soo Hyun dated the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor and that pressure over debt repayment from Kim Soo Hyun’s side was directly connected to her death.
He is also accused of damaging Kim Soo Hyun’s reputation by allegedly using AI to fabricate the late Kim Sae Ron’s voice.
Investigators are also said to believe that the KakaoTalk messages presented during a press conference last year were fabricated.
