Park Ji Hyun opened up about a painful family story while talking about her role in “You and Everything Else”.

In a recently released preview for “You Quiz on the Block,” Park Ji Hyun shared behind the scenes stories from the drama and introduced her character, Sang Yeon.

While looking back on filming in Switzerland, she said, “The character named Sang Yeon, whom I played, was someone who was very sick,” raising interest in the story.

The conversation became more emotional when Park Ji Hyun revealed that the script reminded her of her own family. She calmly shared that her father had also battled cancer in real life.

Park Ji Hyun said, “When I received the script, thankfully, my dad had gotten much better”. She then spoke about the painful words her father once said during his illness.

According to Park Ji Hyun, her father told her, “If not for my family, I wanted to die.”

Her confession moved many viewers as she shared the fear, sadness, and pain she felt as a daughter watching her father go through cancer treatment.

At the same time, her story also showed how deeply her family became a source of strength during a difficult time.
