Park Eun Bin recently shared honest thoughts about Netflix’s “The WONDERfools”, including the possibility of a second season, the challenges she faced while filming, and her long career in the entertainment industry.
On May 22, the actress met with reporters in Seoul to talk about the Netflix original series, which premiered on May 15. In the drama, Park Eun Bin plays Eun Chae Ni, a teleportation powered character known for her bold and unpredictable personality.
The actress immediately drew attention by appearing in an outfit inspired by her character. Park Eun Bin explained that she has been preparing for her next project but wanted to “borrow a little of Chae Ni’s energy again” for the interview.
“The WONDERfools” also became a meaningful reunion project for Park Eun Bin, as she worked once again with director Yoo In Sik and several actors connected to “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
Looking back on the filming experience, she described the atmosphere as “really fun” and shared that working with familiar people helped her naturally enjoy the set even more.
Despite the lighthearted tone of the series, Park Eun Bin admitted that comedy acting was not easy for her. She honestly shared, “Comedy was really hard,” explaining that while the script felt funny while reading it, acting it out gave her many concerns.
She added that her co stars were already naturally funny, so she decided to focus on acting seriously instead of trying too hard to force humor.
The actress also expressed excitement about taking on the superhero and science fiction genre, which is still uncommon in Korean dramas. Park Eun Bin revealed that she has loved science fiction since childhood and described the script as “unpredictable and creative.”
She further praised the production team, explaining that many scenes required careful coordination between actors, visual effects staff, stunt teams, and special effects crews. According to Park Eun Bin, scenes involving her teleportation powers combined both real filming techniques and CG work.
When asked about the possibility of “The WONDERfools” returning for season 2, Park Eun Bin responded carefully. She explained that the drama was not originally created with a seasonal format in mind but added with a smile, “I think the future story depends on viewers around the world.”
She continued, “As an actress, what I hope for is that people will love and enjoy the drama,” while leaving the future of the series open.
Park Eun Bin also reflected on celebrating her 30th anniversary as an actress this year. She expressed gratitude toward fans for their support over the years and shared her hope to continue acting in good health while taking on many different experiences and roles in the future.
