
LE SSERAFIM is off to a strong start with their 2nd full album.
On May 22 at 1 PM, LE SSERAFIM released their new album “‘PUREFLOW’ pt.1.” According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 435,675 copies on its first day and took No. 1 on the daily album chart for May 22.
This marks the highest first day sales record among 4th generation K pop girl group albums released in 2026. When looking at all K pop girl groups across generations, the record is also the second highest after BLACKPINK.

The album also showed strong global performance. “‘PUREFLOW’ pt.1” entered the Worldwide iTunes Album chart at No. 3. As of 9 AM on May 23, it had entered the iTunes Top Albums chart in 27 countries and regions, including Singapore, France, and Japan. It also ranked in the Top 10 in 20 countries and regions, including Mexico, Canada, and Italy.
The title track “BOOMPALA” is also gaining attention overseas. The song ranked No. 20 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart dated May 22. As of 9 AM on May 23, it had entered the iTunes Top Songs chart in 21 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan.
“BOOMPALA” also performed well on YouTube, entering the Trending Music chart in 27 countries and regions. It ranked No. 11 in Korea, No. 4 in Japan, and No. 7 in the United States.
LE SSERAFIM’s new album tells the story of the members facing fear, growing through it, and becoming stronger together. The title track “BOOMPALA” samples the globally known Latin pop song “Macarena,” giving it a bright and lively sound that listeners around the world can enjoy.
