BTS member RM shared a surprising military story that quickly caught attention online.

On May 20, BTS talked about different moments from their military service during a Weverse live broadcast.

During the broadcast, RM revealed that he once gave his card to soldiers from the platoon next to his so they could buy snacks at the PX.

However, the simple favor turned into an unexpected situation. RM said, “I gave my card to the guys from the platoon next to mine and told them to buy snacks at the PX, but they spent 660,000 KRW, including daily items like snail cream.”

He added that the large purchase even caused a problem at the store, saying, “Because of that, the PX card machine broke, and they said it was the first time.”

RM later checked the receipt and found that there were more than 100 items. He explained, “They bought them to give to their parents.”

Because of the incident, his squad leader called him in and asked, “What exactly are you doing?” RM said he apologized afterward.

The story drew mixed reactions from netizens. Some were shocked by the amount, while others found the situation funny.

Comments included, “They spent 660,000 KRW at the PX?” “Even if someone has a lot of money, there should still be a limit,” and “RM ended up helping them be good sons to their parents.”
