BTS’s Jimin beats IVE’s Jang Wonyoung and BTS’s Jungkook to take No. 1 in May idol brand rankings

BTS’s Jimin has ranked No. 1 in the May 2026 idol individual brand reputation rankings.

According to the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, the rankings were based on 166,539,641 pieces of big data collected from 1,730 idol individual brands from April 20 to May 20. The data was analyzed through participation, media, communication, and community indexes.

Jimin took the top spot with a brand reputation index of 8,298,417. Although his score dropped 9.68% compared to April, he still remained at No. 1.

IVE’s Jang Wonyoung ranked No. 2 with a brand reputation index of 7,186,672, showing a small rise of 0.35% from last month. BTS’s Jungkook placed No. 3 with 7,153,623, down 14.16% from April.

The institute said overall idol individual brand big data fell by 9.06% compared to April. In the detailed analysis, brand consumption dropped 35.88%, brand issue dropped 10.92%, brand communication dropped 10.64%, and brand spread dropped 2.51%.

For Jimin’s brand, the link analysis showed strong results for the words “intense,” “explosive,” and “glamorous.”

His keyword analysis showed high results for “ARMY,” “black leather,” and “blond hair.” His positive ratio also recorded 93.02%.

The top 10 for May 2026 were BTS’s Jimin, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, BTS’s Jungkook, BTS’s V, Wanna One’s Park Ji Hoon, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, aespa’s Karina, BTS’s Jin, BTS’s SUGA, and BTS’s J-Hope.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé, BTS’s RM, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, IVE’s Ahn Yujin, aespa’s Winter, Red Velvet’s Irene, and Girls’ Generation’s Yoona followed in the top 20.
