
TXT has added another major achievement in Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan on May 15, TXT’s 8th mini album “7TH YEAR: The moment the wind stopped among the thorns” has surpassed 250,000 cumulative shipments as of April. With this, the album received a Gold Disc “Platinum” certification.
This marks the group’s 16th album to receive a Gold Disc certification in Japan, proving their steady popularity in the country.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan gives certifications based on album shipments. An album is certified Gold after passing 100,000 copies, Platinum after 250,000 copies, Double Platinum after 500,000 copies, Triple Platinum after 750,000 copies, and Million after 1 million copies.
TXT’s certified albums include “CHIKAI,” which reached Triple Platinum, as well as Double Platinum albums like “The Star Chapter: TOGETHER,” “Starkissed,” “SWEET,” and “GOOD BOY GONE BAD.”
Their latest mini album also performed strongly on Oricon. It ranked No. 1 on the April 27 “Weekly Combined Album Ranking,” “Weekly Album Ranking,” and “Weekly Western Music Album Ranking.” With its 14th No. 1 on the “Weekly Combined Album Ranking,” TXT tied the all time record for the most No. 1s among both Japanese and overseas artists.
The group also ranked No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart dated May 2 with the new album and stayed on the chart for 2 consecutive weeks. TXT has now placed 13 albums on the Billboard 200.
The group will continue their activities with their 7th debut anniversary concert, “2026 TXT MOA CON IN JAPAN,” which will be held across 4 cities in Japan for 8 shows. The May 24 Aichi concert will also be shown through Live Viewing in 53 countries and regions.
