Actor Lee Ki Taek has been confirmed as the newest member of KBS 2TV’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.”
On May 15, the production team announced, “Lee Ki Taek will join season 4 as a new member.” They added that he will work with current members Kim Jong Min, Moon Se Yoon, Lee Joon, and DinDin to bring viewers more fun.
Lee Ki Taek is expected to fill the empty spot left by Yoo Seon Ho, who recently announced his departure from the show. As a rising actor and a fresh face in variety programs, Lee Ki Taek is drawing attention for the new energy he may bring to the cast.
According to the production team, Lee Ki Taek stood out during his pre interview with his honest personality and unexpected charm. They described the new lineup as a meeting between the “proven chemistry” of the existing members and a “fresh new face.”
Lee Ki Taek also shared his thoughts through his agency KeyEast. He said, “I am truly thankful and honored to join ‘2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,’ a national variety program that has been loved by many people for a long time.”
He continued, “I still have many things to improve, but I will learn a lot from my seniors, work well with them, and do my best to quickly become part of the program so I can bring joy to viewers.”
Lee Ki Taek is reportedly scheduled to join filming on May 22. Meanwhile, Yoo Seon Ho is expected to leave the show after the May 31 broadcast, about 3 years and 6 months after joining in December 2022.
During his final recording, Yoo Seon Ho reportedly called “2 Days & 1 Night” “everything in my 20s” and “a precious experience in my life that I will never forget.” He also thanked the members and viewers, saying he was grateful to have gained “reliable older brothers” through the show.
