Soyou, a former member of SISTAR, surprised fans after revealing that she was taken to the emergency room during a music video shoot.
On May 11, Soyou uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled “I went to the emergency room while filming a music video.” In the video, she was rehearsing a scene at a subway station when the accident happened.
While on an escalator, Soyou suddenly lost her balance, fell, and rolled down. She was then taken to the emergency room, leading the production team to hold an emergency meeting and change the filming location.

However, Soyou returned from the hospital about 2 hours later and continued filming.
Looking back on the accident, Soyou said, “They said it was a bruise. I do not even remember screaming at that moment. I went to the emergency room, and my blood pressure was very low.”

She also shared, “I do not remember anything. Even while I was in pain, I kept thinking, ‘I have to film the subway scene.’ I was originally supposed to get my CT results too, but I just came back.”
Despite the pain, Soyou pushed through the shoot and said, “Inside, I am shouting, ‘It does not hurt.’” She was able to finish the music video filming safely.
Soyou debuted as a member of SISTAR in 2010 and has been active as a solo singer since the group’s disbandment in 2017.
