Actor Shin Sung Rok has personally apologized after canceling several scheduled performances due to health issues.

On May 12, Shin Sung Rok shared a message on his personal SNS and said, “First, I am truly sorry and feel ashamed for causing inconvenience to many people because I did not take good care of my health.”

Shin Sung Rok was originally scheduled to appear in the musical ‘Swing Days: Code Name A’ on May 7 and May 9. However, the production company announced that the cast had been changed due to the actor’s health condition.

The cast was also changed for the 7:30 PM performance on May 12. The production company apologized for the inconvenience caused by several cast changes.

Shin Sung Rok then thanked and apologized to the audience members who made time to wait for the show, his fellow cast members, and senior actors Yoo Jun Sang and Park Eun Tae, who went on stage in his place.

He explained, “Because of acute laryngitis, I had a high fever and my voice would not come out, so I had to cancel the performance. It is a precious performance to me, so my heart really hurts.”

He added that his condition has now improved a lot and promised to meet fans again in good health at the next performance.
