Park Eun Bin opened up about the pressure she felt while taking on her new role in the upcoming Netflix series 'The Wonderfools'.
On May 12, a production presentation for Netflix's new drama 'The Wonderfools' was held at JW Marriott Hotel in Jongno gu, Seoul. Park Eun Bin, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Sung Jae, Kim Hae Sook, Son Hyun Joo, Jung Yi Seo, Choi Yoon Ji, Bae Na Ra, and director Yoo In Sik attended the event.
'The Wonderfools' is a superpower comic adventure series set in 1999. The story follows a group of neighborhood misfits who suddenly gain supernatural powers and struggle to protect the world from villains threatening peace.
Park Eun Bin plays Eun Chae Ni, an official public officer in Haesung City who gains the power of teleportation.
Talking about the script, Park Eun Bin shared, "When I first read the script, I thought it was very creative."
She also explained her character, saying, "Compared to any character I have played before, this character has a more simple way of thinking. I had many fun experiences while learning about this friend's world."
She also revealed that she felt some pressure on set because the script was already so funny.
Park Eun Bin said, "The script was fun, so I felt pressure thinking, 'What if I can't make it funnier than the script?'" However, she added that she later felt more comfortable after seeing the other actors already bringing so much humor to their characters.
She shared, "When I went to the set, everyone was already being funny through their own characters, so I let go of the thought that I had to be funny too".
Im Sung Jae, who plays Kang Ro Bin, a character with super strength, also raised expectations for Park Eun Bin's transformation.
He said, "I think this will show the cutest side of Park Eun Bin that we have ever seen in a project", adding, "The sides she has shown before cannot even compare", making everyone laugh.
'The Wonderfools' will be released on Netflix on May 15 at 5 PM.
