Yoo Su Bin and Lee Yeon are becoming scene stealers in “Perfect Crown”.
In the MBC Friday Saturday drama, the two actors play the trusted people beside the main characters. Yoo Su Bin appears as Choi Hyun, the aide of Grand Prince Ian, played by Byeon Woo Seok. Lee Yeon plays Do Hye Jung, the secretary of Sung Hee Joo, played by IU.
Although they are part of the drama’s “secretary line,” Yoo Su Bin and Lee Yeon are gaining praise for doing more than simply supporting the lead characters. Their steady acting, natural timing, and fun chemistry are helping make the story more enjoyable.
Yoo Su Bin brings a calm and neat energy to Choi Hyun. As Grand Prince Ian’s aide, he often explains important matters and helps control tense situations. His controlled tone matches the role of someone serving a royal figure, while his friendly side makes his long relationship with Grand Prince Ian feel natural.
Lee Yeon is also drawing attention for her playful chemistry with IU. Her character, Do Hye Jung, often speaks honestly to Sung Hee Joo and teases her in a funny way.
One memorable moment came when Hee Joo complained about a sudden meeting, and Hye Jung replied, “Didn’t you also suddenly kiss Grand Prince Ian?” The line added humor and showed the comfortable bond between the two characters.
Their off screen promotion is also helping the drama gain attention. Yoo Su Bin appeared on “I Live Alone,” while Lee Yeon appeared on “The Manager.” IU also joined them during their variety show appearances, where stories about the drama and behind the scenes moments were naturally shared.
The two actors are also being recognized for showing new sides of themselves. Yoo Su Bin, known for works like “Prison Playbook,” “Crash Landing on You,” and “Weak Hero,” is showing a cleaner and more polished image through “Perfect Crown.” Lee Yeon, who impressed viewers in “D.P.,” “Duty After School,” and “Kill Boksoon,” is also raising her public recognition through the drama.
“Perfect Crown” continues to perform strongly, with episode 10 recording 13.3% and breaking its own highest rating. As the drama heads into its final two episodes, viewers are also watching closely to see how the growing connection between Choi Hyun and Do Hye Jung will develop.
