Disney+ original series “Gold Land” is gaining strong attention in Korea and across Asia.

According to FlixPatrol, “Gold Land” ranked No. 1 for five straight days on Disney+ Korea’s overall Top 10 and Top 10 TV Shows charts as of May 11. The thriller is standing out among many new titles with its fast pace, tense story, and unpredictable turns.

The drama received an even bigger reaction after the shocking ending of episode 4, where Park Bo Young and Kim Sung Cheol’s characters became involved in a dangerous partnership. After the scene aired, “Gold Land” returned to No. 1 on Disney+ Korea and continued to hold the top spot through the weekend.

The series is also gaining interest outside Korea. With only four episodes released, “Gold Land” ranked No. 2 in Japan, No. 2 in Taiwan, No. 4 in Hong Kong, and No. 5 in Singapore. Its story of greed, betrayal, and survival appears to be connecting with viewers in several Asian countries.

Online reactions have also been strong. Viewers commented, “Give us episodes 5 and 6. It is hard to wait,” “It is fun and nerve wracking,” and “I just watched the ending of episode 4, and it was really crazy. I did not expect it to end that extremely.”

Park Bo Young is being praised for showing Hee Joo’s fear and growing desire in a detailed way, while Kim Sung Cheol is raising the tension as Woo Gi becomes more unpredictable.

Lee Kwang Soo is also drawing attention for his intense role as Director Park, with some viewers saying, “Kwang Soo is so scary,” and “Why is he so good at playing that kind of crazy gangster role?”

The preview for episodes 5 and 6 has already raised more curiosity. Viewers reacted with comments such as, “Has Woo Gi lost his mind?” “His greed has no end,” and “It looks like Woo Gi found out there are 100 gold bars, not 10.”

“Gold Land” follows Hee Joo, who gets involved with gold bars worth 150 billion won from a smuggling group and is pulled into a dangerous fight filled with greed and betrayal. As more characters join the chase, the mind games around the gold bars are expected to become even more intense.

“Gold Land” releases two new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+. The series has a total of 10 episodes.
