Byeon Woo Seok is giving fans another special OST moment.
Kakao Entertainment announced that Byeon Woo Seok will sing the final OST for MBC’s Friday Saturday drama “Perfect Crown”. The song will be officially released on May 15.
The OST was kept as a “hidden card” and was not included in the drama’s earlier OST lineup. It was first revealed through the preview after the May 9 broadcast, surprising viewers and quickly becoming a hot topic online.
Even though only a short part of the song was heard, fans began talking about it on social media right away. Many are especially interested because Byeon Woo Seok personally joined the OST while also leading the drama’s romance story with IU.
In “Perfect Crown”, Byeon Woo Seok plays Grand Prince Ian, a royal figure who carries deep sadness despite being the king’s son. His romance chemistry with IU, who plays Sung Hee Joo, has earned him praise as a “master of melodrama”.
The new OST is also drawing attention because Byeon Woo Seok previously gained huge popularity with “Sudden Shower”, the OST from “Lovely Runner”.
With this new song, he is expected to bring out Grand Prince Ian’s emotions through music and add even more feeling to the drama’s final episodes.
“Perfect Crown” continues to perform strongly, ranking No. 1 in its time slot in Korea and No. 1 globally in Disney+ Top 10 TV Shows Non English category. With only two episodes left, the drama is heading into its finale with strong attention from viewers.
