BTS’s Jimin became a hot topic after captivating fans during the group’s Mexico City concert.
On May 8 local time, BTS held the first day of “BTS World Tour ‘Arirang’ in Mexico City” at Estadio GNP Seguros.
During the concert, Jimin drew loud cheers with his strong stage presence, sharp performance, and rock star style.
The day before, Jimin had gained attention for his elegant and prince like image during BTS’s meeting with the Mexican president.
On stage, however, he showed a completely different charm and impressed fans with his powerful performance.
One moment that quickly caught attention was when Jimin briefly revealed his abs during the concert, making the stadium react even louder.
At the end of the show, Jimin also greeted fans in Spanish, which he had prepared in advance.
His effort touched fans, as he has often tried to speak to audiences in their own language during the world tour.
Jimin’s popularity in Mexico is also strong on streaming platforms. According to a Forbes article dated May 7, Jimin has recorded over 97 million streams on Mexico’s Spotify chart, the highest for a K pop solo artist.
Among all K pop acts, he ranks second after BTS.
Fans also prepared support projects for Jimin, including an ad truck with his photos driving around the concert venue.
Photos and videos of the support quickly spread on social media.
BTS will continue their Mexico City concerts on May 10 and 11 after a one day break.
