Coupang Play’s “Absolute Value of Romance” is keeping viewers hooked with its mix of teen romance, comedy, and unpredictable twists.
Episodes 9 and 10, set to be released on May 8 at 8 PM, will focus on Eui Ju, played by Kim Hyang Gi, as she starts to realize her true feelings for Woo Su, played by Cha Hak Yeon.
Their relationship, which once felt closer to a tense and uncomfortable connection, begins to change as Eui Ju enters the stage of denying her feelings.
Cha Hak Yeon is also drawing attention for playing two very different roles. In the real world, he appears as the neat and calm Woo Su.
However, inside Eui Ju’s web novel “We Were Friends,” he transforms into Si On, a bold character with a shiny red leather coat, unique hairstyle, and intense energy.
The story inside the web novel is expected to add more tension, especially as Yoon, played by Kim Dong Kyu, becomes involved in dangerous events. Cha Hak Yeon’s double role is expected to bring a different kind of fun to the new episodes.
A new character, Na Deul Yi, played by Jung Da On, will also appear and add another layer to the romance.
Preview stills show Woo Su looking comfortable with Na Deul Yi, while Eui Ju watches them with a discouraged expression, raising curiosity about how their relationships will change.
“Absolute Value of Romance” follows a high school girl who writes a novel about handsome teachers and later becomes involved with them in real life.
The drama has gained attention for its playful story, lively comedy, and the performances of Kim Hyang Gi, Cha Hak Yeon, and the cast.
