SBS Plus’ ‘Manly Men’s Travel Style in Kyushu’ brought more laughs as Choo Sung Hoon, Kim Jong Kook, and BIGBANG’s Daesung continued their trip in Kagoshima.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 3, which aired on May 5, recorded a 0.6% household rating in the Seoul metropolitan area, with its highest minute rating reaching 0.9%.

The show also ranked in the top 3 among variety programs on Wavve and placed 2nd on Taiwan’s friDay Video popularity chart.

During the episode, the three stars stayed in Tenmonkan, Kagoshima’s busiest downtown area. After checking into a more comfortable lodging with separate beds, they went to a convenience store, where Choo Sung Hoon filled his basket with snacks and bought a neck warmer, leading to teasing from Kim Jong Kook.

The teasing continued back at the lodging when Choo Sung Hoon joked about Kim Jong Kook’s style, saying, “You smell too much like an old man.” Kim Jong Kook fired back, asking if it was not better than wearing a neck warmer because it was cold.

The episode also showed a more sincere side of the trip. Before sleeping, Daesung said, “It really feels like we came on a trip with just guys.” He later opened up about his future, sharing, “By then, I hope I have a child,” and added that he once thought he wanted to get married before turning 40. Kim Jong Kook agreed, saying he also thought marriage would naturally happen.

The next day, the trio enjoyed local food, including udon and black pork tonkatsu, while continuing their playful arguments. Kim Jong Kook teased Choo Sung Hoon about wearing shoe inserts, while Choo Sung Hoon kept showing his childlike side by insisting on snacks and dessert.

One of the funniest moments came on the Ferris wheel, where the three talked about a low kick prank. Daesung, who had experienced Choo Sung Hoon’s low kick before, revealed, “I was swollen for 3 days,” making everyone laugh.

The group later traveled to Ibusuki, where they enjoyed a luxury car ride, a black sand bath, and volcanic steamed eggs. The production team teased that another healing course highlight is still ahead, raising interest for the next episode.

Episode 4 of ‘Manly Men’s Travel Style in Kyushu’ will air on May 12 at 8:40 PM KST.
