Byeon Woo Seok is drawing attention for his heartfelt acting in MBC’s Friday Saturday drama “Perfect Crown”.
In the latest episodes, his character Grand Prince Ian officially became a couple with Sung Hee Joo, played by IU. After their kiss left an awkward mood between them, Ian chose to be honest instead of stepping back.
When Hee Joo tried to say the kiss only happened because of the mood, Ian clearly told her, “I didn’t do it because the mood was good. I did it because it was you, junior”. His direct words showed that his feelings were sincere.
Ian also opened his heart when Hee Joo became upset after a family conversation. He told her, “If you ask me for it, I will want to give you anything. Whether what I give is money, honor, or my heart.” The line showed how deeply his feelings had grown.
His protective side became even stronger when Hee Joo suddenly collapsed during the wedding. Ian ordered an investigation for her sake and ran to her as soon as he heard she had regained consciousness, even though royals are not supposed to run.
Later, when the marriage contract was leaked and Hee Joo faced the public and press, Ian stood by her side and became her shield with the words, “Look only at me.”
