SBS’s Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Sold Out On You' is quickly gaining momentum.
On April 29, episode 3 of 'Sold Out On You' aired and showed a new change in the relationship between Matthew Lee, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, and Dam Ye Jin, played by Chae Won Bin.
After ranking No. 1 on Netflix’s non-English TV shows chart in its first week, the drama also recorded a peak viewership rating of 4.0% during episode 3, according to Nielsen Korea.
In the episode, Matthew Lee realized that the mysterious caller who had kept him awake at night was Dam Ye Jin.
Meanwhile, Dam Ye Jin discovered that the difficult farmer Matthew Lee was actually Lee Hae Seok, the CEO of Gozneok Bio, the bio-material company she had been trying to sign a contract with.
Wanting to fix her mistake and secure the deal, Dam Ye Jin followed him to his farm and tried hard to persuade him.
During the process, she injured her arm, but still completed her live home shopping broadcast professionally. Matthew Lee happened to watch the broadcast and began to see her in a new way.
At the same time, Dam Ye Jin was dealing with pressure from her senior Ji Yoon Ji, played by Park Ah In, and conflict with her father Dam Seok Kyung, played by Kim Young Jae. As her insomnia became worse, she ended up calling a phone number connected to her late mother.
When the call reached Matthew Lee again by mistake, he was about to hang up. However, he heard her say, “Mom, it’s Ye Jin”, followed by a sudden crash sound. He tried to ignore it, thinking it was a drunken mistake, but her sad words, “Mom, I miss you,” stayed in his mind.
In the final moments, Matthew Lee went to Seoul and found Dam Ye Jin walking barefoot in the street due to sleepwalking symptoms.
He saved her from a possible accident, raising curiosity about how their connection will grow from a wrong phone call.
Episode 4 of 'Sold Out On You' airs on April 30 at 9 PM.
