TWS is off to a powerful start with their 5th mini album NO TRAGEDY.
According to Hanteo Chart on April 28, NO TRAGEDY sold 833,138 copies on its first day of release on April 27. With this, the album went straight to No. 1 on Hanteo’s daily album chart.
The result also marks a new career high for TWS. The first-day sales of NO TRAGEDY already passed the total sales of their 4th mini album play hard, which recorded 746,731 copies as of last month based on Circle Chart.
The group is also showing strong results on music charts. As of midnight on April 28, songs from the new album entered Melon’s Top 100 chart, including the title track You, You at No. 55, I will become all your possibilities at No. 75, and Why You So Bad? at No. 100.
TWS also gained attention in Japan, where every song from NO TRAGEDY entered Line Music’s real-time Song Top 100 chart as of 11 PM on April 27.
The music video for You, You is receiving positive reactions for its bright youth mood, the members’ visuals, and the catchy “Dda rum” chorus.
Some fans praised it as “a trendy music video that expresses fresh emotions between boyhood and youth,” while others said, “The TWS boom has already arrived.”
TWS held their comeback showcase for NO TRAGEDY on April 27 at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul. The event was also streamed through Weverse, with fans from 142 countries and regions joining online.
After the showcase, the members shared, “We will make promotions that can become precious memories for 42.”
They also said, “We are happy to meet fans again on the stage we have been waiting for,” and added, “We will become TWS that you can be proud of.”
TWS will begin music show promotions with Mnet’s M Countdown on April 30.
