Lee Kwang Soo is preparing for another intense villain transformation.
The actor will appear in the Disney+ original series Gold Land, which premieres on April 29. In the series, he plays Director Park, an organization executive who relentlessly tracks down missing gold bars.
Since the character is driven by greed, Lee Kwang Soo is expected to show an even darker side through the role.
Lee Kwang Soo has recently been expanding his range as a villain. In the Netflix series Karma, he left a strong impression by showing the petty and miserable side of a bad person.
In the Disney+ original series The Manipulated, he raised tension with a cruel attitude and sharp expressions.
Because he has shown different types of villains in each project, many are curious about what kind of dark character he will show in Gold Land.

His visual transformation is also drawing attention. For the role of Director Park, Lee Kwang Soo uses gold tooth gems and gold accessories to show the character’s obsession with gold. Deep scars and blood makeup also add to the dangerous mood of the character.
The trailer also hints at intense action scenes. Lee Kwang Soo is seen hanging from a car and fighting with other characters.
In one scene, he calmly says, “I will take responsibility and find the coffin.” But soon after, he shows a cold stare and shouts, “Tell me, where is the coffin?”
With his ability to move between calm control and sudden madness, Lee Kwang Soo is expected to bring strong tension to Gold Land. Fans are now watching to see how powerful his new villain role will be.
