EXO member Kai caught attention after directly mentioning the current number of EXO members on TV.
On the April 27 broadcast of SBS’s 'Uh, but Like, Seriously!', Kai talked about EXO’s concert tour and jokingly refused when the cast members asked to appear as guests at the concert.
Lee Sang Min brought up EXO’s world tour and said, “Kai has concerts starting in April. We’ll appear as guests”. Kai quickly replied, “The location is a secret. The concert might get canceled”, making everyone laugh.
Tak Jae Hoon and Lee Sang Min continued asking for a favor, but Kai joked, “I’ll say just one thing. My contract renewal season is coming soon too”, and added, “I might not be Kai anymore, I might become ‘Kui’”.
Tak Jae Hoon then asked, “How many EXO members are there besides you? Don’t we just need to convince the members?” Kai answered clearly, “There are 5 right now”.
The moment became a hot topic online, with fans reacting, “EXO official confirmed it,” “If he said there are 6 members, then it is 6 members”, and “That feels refreshing”.
EXO debuted in 2012 as a 12-member group and has gone through several lineup changes over the years.
Meanwhile, EXO held EXO Planet #6 - EXOrizing in Seoul from April 10 to 12 at KSPO Dome in Seoul. All three shows sold out, including limited-view seats, bringing in around 32,000 fans.
EXO is now set to continue its concert tour across 14 cities worldwide, including Seoul.
