MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown is gaining strong attention, and Byeon Woo Seok’s character, Grand Prince Ian, has become one of the biggest talking points.

The drama is showing impressive results both in Korea and overseas. Perfect Crown reached a peak real-time rating of 13.8% just two weeks after its premiere and has continued to maintain double-digit ratings. It also ranked No. 1 among non-English TV shows on Disney+ and No. 4 in the global Disney+ TV show category.

As the drama’s popularity grows, global viewers are paying close attention to Grand Prince Ian’s fashion, lifestyle, and royal image. In the series, he is known as a royal with handsome looks, strong abilities, and a calm but mysterious charm.

Byeon Woo Seok shared that he believed the character could also be shown through clothing. Because of this, Grand Prince Ian’s styling mixes traditional Korean beauty with modern fashion. His outfits include modern versions of hanbok, a reworked cheollik, traditional-inspired ceremonial clothing, and blue archery clothing from his royal school days.

His everyday fashion also stands out. His shirts, jackets, and suit-style outfits include Korean details such as silk fabric, otgoreum, and dongjeong, creating a soft and elegant royal mood. He also shows a more casual side through hoodies, sportswear, and simple shirts in daily scenes.

Viewers praised his styling, saying, “Cultural treasure level visuals, perfect hanbok styling,” and “It is a modern suit, but it has a Korean mood, so it feels fresh and nice.”

Grand Prince Ian’s living spaces are also receiving attention. His private residence combines large glass windows, wooden pillars, calligraphy tools, white porcelain, and modern furniture, giving the space both traditional and modern beauty. His vacation house also drew interest for its open wooden floor and peaceful natural scenery.

Fans said the filming locations are beautiful because they are filled with Korean atmosphere, and even simple scenes of Grand Prince Ian staying there look visually impressive.

After gaining major popularity through Lovely Runner, Byeon Woo Seok is now showing a different charm in Perfect Crown. Through his royal styling, quiet presence, and chemistry with IU’s character Sung Hee Joo, he is once again drawing strong reactions from viewers.

Perfect Crown airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 PM.
