2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon recently held a private wedding, but photos from the ceremony were reportedly shared online without permission, leading to concerns over privacy.
On April 26, photos said to be from Ok Taecyeon’s wedding began spreading on Chinese online platforms. In the images, Taecyeon was seen posing warmly with his non-celebrity bride, whose face was also clearly visible.
According to reports, the photos were allegedly taken by a Chinese tourist staying at a hotel near the wedding venue. The tourist reportedly filmed or photographed the ceremony from a hotel room window and uploaded the images online.
Although the wedding was held privately, parts of the ceremony became public because of the post, sparking discussion about invasion of privacy.
This is not the first time Taecyeon’s private moments with his partner have been exposed. In February last year, photos of him kneeling in Paris, France, while appearing to propose to his then-girlfriend were also shared online through a photographer’s account.
Ok Taecyeon married his non-celebrity partner on April 24 at The Shilla Seoul’s Yeong Bin Gwan in Jangchung-dong, Jung District, Seoul.
His wife is reportedly four years younger than him, and the couple is said to have been together for more than 10 years before getting married.
The wedding was attended by family members, relatives, and 2PM members, including Lee Junho, Jun. K, Nichkhun, Jang Wooyoung, and Hwang Chansung.
The members reportedly sang a congratulatory song for the couple. Hwang Chansung, who is the only married member of 2PM, also hosted the ceremony.
Taecyeon personally announced his marriage last November through a handwritten letter. At the time, he wrote, “I have promised to spend my life with someone who has understood and trusted me for a long time”.
He also shared, “We plan to support each other and continue our lives together.”
