Lee Jae Won is adding more fun to MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown with his role as Sung Tae Joo.

In the drama, Lee Jae Won plays the half-brother of Sung Hee Joo, played by IU. Tae Joo often shows jealousy toward Hee Joo because of her talent and position, but he also becomes someone who helps her when it really matters.

Tae Joo usually throws sharp comments at Hee Joo whenever he gets the chance. However, when Hee Joo faces trouble, he quickly steps in and shows a different side of himself.

In the latest episode, Tae Joo reacted strongly when the company’s stock price, which had risen after Hee Joo’s dating news with Grand Prince Ian, dropped after news of her accident.

He angrily called it a “big owner risk.” But when Hee Joo asked him for help for the first time, he could not hide his smile and proudly enjoyed the moment.

Behind his attitude, Tae Joo also had his own plan. While he often picks on his younger sister, he knows that Hee Joo entering the royal family could help him secure more power in the company.

Using his position at Castle Card, he becomes a strong helper for Hee Joo while also aiming for the next leadership position at Castle Beauty.

Lee Jae Won is receiving attention for showing Tae Joo’s complicated feelings in a natural way. He captures both Tae Joo’s happiness at possibly becoming the sole heir of Castle Group and his jealousy over Hee Joo’s rising status.

With his witty and flexible acting, Lee Jae Won is making Sung Tae Joo a character viewers may find annoying at times, but hard to fully dislike.
