MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown is continuing its strong ratings run.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 6 of Perfect Crown, which aired on April 25, recorded an average rating of 11.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 11.2% nationwide. The drama also recorded 5.9% among viewers aged 20 to 54.
With these numbers, Perfect Crown ranked No. 1 among all Saturday programs based on the Seoul metropolitan area and the 20 to 54 viewer ratings.
The drama also saw a rise from its previous episode, which recorded 10.6% nationwide. Episode 6 increased by 0.6 percentage points and set a new personal best in both nationwide ratings and the 20 to 54 viewer rating.
The most-watched moment came during a scene where Seong Hee Joo, played by IU, told Grand Prince Ian, played by Byeon Woo Seok, “Do everything you want to do.” That moment reached a peak rating of 13.4% per minute.
The latest episode also drew attention for the growing romance between Seong Hee Joo and Grand Prince Ian. The two characters, who share emotional wounds, showed a deeper connection and ended the episode with a romantic kiss scene.
During the broadcast, Seong Hee Joo and Grand Prince Ian continued to attract attention with their public appearance together. Grand Prince Ian also surprised those around him by presenting a meaningful ring and making a bold proposal to Seong Hee Joo in front of everyone.
Seong Hee Joo happily accepted, and the two became an officially recognized couple with the king’s approval. Their sudden proposal became a major topic both inside the palace and beyond it.
