MBC’s “Perfect Crown” is gaining strong attention as IU and Byeon Woo Seok’s relationship takes a turning point, while the drama ranks No. 1 in ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, episode 5 recorded 10.9% in the Seoul area and 10.6% nationwide, with a 4.3% rating among viewers aged 20 to 54.
The drama ranked No. 1 across all Friday programs, achieving a triple crown, with a peak rating of 13.7%.
In the episode, tension rose as Lee An decided to break off the contract marriage to protect Sung Hee Joo after a dangerous incident.
However, Sung Hee Joo strongly rejected his decision, directly confronting him with, “This is how you protect someone. You fight back.”
She continued, “You only know how to bend, so you lose even when you can win. Don’t bend. Don’t step back and don’t give up,” showing her firm stance. Her words had a clear impact on Lee An, leading to a shift in his attitude.
Later, the two drew attention at a major event as Lee An stood by her side and said, “Please teach me,” signaling his change.
He also expressed his determination by saying, “I will fight without holding back, just like you,” highlighting their growing trust and stronger bond.
