BLACKPINK member and actress Jisoo received the Rising Star award at the Cannes International Series Festival, drawing attention for her acting achievements.

On April 23 local time, she attended the opening ceremony in Cannes, France, appearing on the pink carpet and greeting fans and media. She was selected as the winner of the “Madame Figaro Rising Star Award” and shared her thanks on stage, saying “merci beaucoup.”

Jisoo recently appeared in the Netflix series “Boyfriend on Demand,” where she gained recognition for her acting performance.

At the same time, attention has grown due to controversy involving her older brother. Her agency clarified the situation, stating, “The current issue is completely unrelated to the artist and the company,” and emphasized that claims about his involvement are “not true.”

They also confirmed that he has “no legal or management relationship” with the company.

The production team of “Boyfriend on Demand” also addressed the issue, explaining that his name appearing in the credits was “an error in the credit” and that it was corrected immediately.

With both her award and recent project, Jisoo continues to build her presence as an actress.
