Actress Moon Geun Young has shared the personal reason behind her long history of large donations, drawing attention for her honest and meaningful story.
During a recent broadcast, it was revealed that she has been donating since her teenage years whenever she earned income from projects or advertisements, with her total donations reaching around 900 million KRW.
Moon Geun Young explained that her actions were deeply influenced by her family. She shared, “My grandmother strongly believed that you should live by giving to others, even during difficult times”.
She also spoke about her parents, saying, “Both my mom and dad were public officials, and when I suddenly started earning a large amount of money, they told me, ‘We do not want to spend this money carelessly. You worked hard day and night to earn it, so we cannot use it like that’”.
She added that her parents suggested, “Would it not be better to donate to people who need help?” and said that this is how she began donating consistently.
